We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Manager to lead our clinical in team at Golden View Care in Cromwell — someone who combines genuine clinical expertise with the heart and character of a true Promisian.
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically strong Registered Nurse who thrives in aged care leadership and is passionate about delivering exceptional resident-centred care. Working alongside the Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading our clinical team, driving quality improvement, and fostering a culture where residents, families, and staff feel genuinely valued and supported.
About the Role
As Clinical Manager, you will provide hands-on clinical leadership across the facility while supporting operational success, quality outcomes, and staff development. You’ll help ensure our residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care that reflects dignity, respect, and individuality.
This is a varied and rewarding leadership role where no two days are the same. You will oversee 19 serviced apartments alongside a 60-bed care home offering rest home, hospital and dementia care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight
- Supporting and mentoring Registered Nurses and caregivers
- Coordinating InterRAI assessments and care planning
- Managing clinical risk, compliance, and quality systems
- Supporting audits, infection prevention, and medication management
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, GPs, and allied health providers
- Contributing to occupancy, staff engagement, and overall facility success
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and achieving excellent audit outcomes
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is clinically confident, calm under pressure, and passionate about aged care.
You will ideally have:
- Current NZ Registered Nurse Practising Certificate
- InterRAI training and experience
- Previous aged care leadership experience
- Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Sound understanding of NZ aged care standards and compliance requirements
- A collaborative and positive leadership style
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people
